Johnson's Family Gift Certificate

Johnson's Restaurants continue to lead the pack for high quality restaurants in the area - for people who enjoy good barbecue, prime rib and steaks, hometown country cooking, pizza and even ice cream!

If you've got someone in your family who has everything they've ever wanted and you don't know what to get them, give them a gift certificate for any of our restaurants in town. It will be well appreciated and possibly even suggested for next Christmas.

You can order gift certificates at this link: https://www.alamosteakhouse.com/exclusiveproducts2.html

Big Daddy's Pizzeria is open!

Brought to you by the Johnson Family of Restaurants. The Same Folks who brought you Bennett's Pit Bar-B-Que, the Alamo Steakhouse and Mama's Farmhouse. Big Daddy's Pizzeria is now open in Sevierville!

This is not your average pizza pie. At the heart of Big Daddy's is a 550 degree, wood-fired flame inside a one-of-a-kind brick oven. Our pizza starts with hand-crafted, homemade dough, pulled by our own "pizzeoli". It's topped with one of our homemade sauces and fresh ingredients. Big Daddy's Pizzeria is so committed to quality that there is not a single freezer on the premises.

Here are some examples:

• Big Daddy's Rockefeller - Creamed spinach base, wood-fired oysters, mozzarella-provolone blend, roasted red onion, diced bacon, sun-dried tomatoes and a drizzle of olive oil.

• The Cajun - Marinara Sauce, mozzarella-provolone blend, crawfish, Andouille Sausage, roasted red onion and roasted garlic.

• The Carnivore - Marinara Sauce, mozzarella-provolone blend, Prosciutto, Italian sausage, pepperoni and freshly-seasoned ground beef.

Please join us to taste the difference that a real wood-fired oven makes for pizza. Stop by 1820 Parkway in Sevierville and enjoy the delicious pizza and take a peek at the oven where the magic happens!

Important Announcement Regarding Independence Day

Pigeon Forge is holding it on the THIRD of July.

That's right. Pigeon Forge is effectively jumping the gun a day early and holding the Patiot Park celebrations Saturday, the day before the Fourth of July and it's the full thing. All day Park activities, food tents, hours of music and performances followed by the fabled fireworks shooting overhead and lightning the night sky in super colorful combustion.

If you're making plans to stay in Pigeon Forge for the Independence Day weekend, this is likely a considerable change in your plans and it hasn't been advertised quite as much as it should be, at least not yet.

Luckily, if Alamo Steakhouse was on your dinner plans for Independence Day or the day before (which is now the same day), this could still work in your favor. On a busy day like Independence Day, where traffic in downtown Pigeon Forge multiplies, location is the key to being able to enjoy the day without drowning in circumstance and stress. Alamo Steakhouse is just half a mile from Patriot Park and convenient to most hotels/motels in town. You could conceivably walk from Alamo to Patriot Park or at least to a good spot where you can see the fireworks!

If Alamo Steakhouse was not on your dinner plans, consider making them anyway! Consider bringing your dinner in a take-out box to Patriot Park and make a picnic out of it! Independence Day is without question the most outdoors fun the city of Pigeon Forge puts together and there's no reason you shouldn't enjoy the best food in the city with it too!

Mother's Day - Free Fillet for Mom!

Mother's Day is a holiday unlike any other. Not nearly as bombastic as Christmas and about half as labor-intensive as Valentine's Day often gets. Mother's Day is the annual presentation of simplicity as a gesture of appreciation. You celebrate loved ones all year, this day you celebrate the one who gave you life.

Johnson's Family of Restaurants recognizes this special day, and for those who choose to take their mom out to dinner with us, we want to thank them by offering additional gifts to coincide with their meals!

At Alamo Steakhouse, a FREE FILLET will be waiting for Mom as a special gesture of appreciation. No added cost, just a special little way for us to thank you and your wonderful mom for dining with us this day!

On Mother's Day, it's the little things that count. Show her to a good-old fashioned dinner out with Johnson's Family of Restaurants in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg!

Mama's Farmhouse Haiti Relief Update

Howdy all! We're just posting quick to congratulate our sister restaurant, Mama's Farmhouse here in Pigeon Forge, on an amazing accomplishment this week.

The week before, from 2/2/10 to 2/6/10, Mama's Farmhouse had a special promotion were every Dinner was Buy-One-Get-One Free, and the proceeds would go to the Red Cross Haiti Relief fund.

Today, the numbers came back. $7,099. Over $7,000 went directly to the Red Cross to help support victims of the Haiti Earthquake and efforts to recover and rebuild - all thanks to you.

It was a great week for Mama's Farmhouse and Johnson's Family of Restaurants was more than happy to do it and happier still that it was an outstanding success. Stay tuned to our websites for future promotions and deals!

The Rod Runs in Pigeon Forge are events to behold. Its not September until two back-to-back weekends are filled with classic cars parading down the street as the night sky is lit up with every hotel and headlight in the downtown area.

On the weekend of the 11th, the Shades of the Past Rod Run comes to The Smoky River Ranch in Pigeon Forge, but you'll be seeing its presence for miles around. The Rod Run is ENORMOUS here in town and those who come to attend will pretty much party a good deal of the night away (just use excellent judgment when you do). The sidewalks will be lined with chairs, festive watchers, owners, gearheads and much much more.

Word of warning: Traffic will be INSANE and there is nothing you can do about it. Just get in early, find a reasonable spot and some comfort footwear and enjoy.

On the 18th is the Grand Rod Run which takes place at the Grand Hotel and Convention Center. This is the biggest one of the year and if you missed anyone the first week, its a good chance they stuck around for this one.

And after a while, all that walking and talking and bright lights and designs makes even the most hardcore enthusiast tired and hungry.

Enter The Alamo Steakhouse (which is a good idea). It looks over the Pigeon Forge parkway as dead center in the middle of town as it can get and provides the best steak, chicken and Texas style dinner dishes in the county. If you don't believe it, come by and have a look at the awards proudly sitting on the wall next to the door.

MENU SAMPLER:
Chicken Fried Chicken
Sirloin Steak
Teriyaki Chicken
Pork Chops
Steak on a Stick
Santa Fe Chicken
Roasted Vegetables & Creamed Spinach
Bacon Wrapped Shrimp
Padre Island Fried Shrimp
Shrimp Scampi
Oak Grilled Salmon

Imagine sitting down to a proper dinner of any of these and then going right back out to enjoy the town-wide party.

Are you making your reservations? Good. Alamo fills up quickly on a busy weekend, so be sure to get it and get it in early.
